Description

SAIC is seeking an Operations Support Officer to join our team at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Document and recommend to the PdM and DPdM techniques to interpret, implement, formulate and evaluate operational and administrative policies, procedures and processes to enhance overall operations and management. 
  • Utilize management and organizational principles and a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, to plan, implement, and integrate the mission.
  • Have knowledge of the Army acquisition process and develop techniques to improve effectiveness and productivity in support of the overall mission. 
  • Have knowledge of direct fire ammunition capabilities and operational use.
  • Coordinate with PM MAS Operations Officer, and other organizational personnel, to ensure taskers, assignments, and events are briefed to leadership. The Contractor shall analyze extensive program data/interrelationships, and coordinate the preparation of accurate and reasonable programs plans.
  • Participate in program management efforts by establishing a tracking system to create, review, staff, evaluate and post all forms of acquisition documents, including, Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASRs), Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs), Type Classification (TC) recommendations, Acquisition Decision Memorandums (ADMs), Acquisition Plans (APs), Summary of Actions (SOAs) and other pertinent documents.
  • Manage internal databases to include portfolio information on the Program Management Dashboard.
  • Participate in program management efforts.
  • Review and provide input to technical data packages (TDPs), participate in technical discussions, and provide technical direction for a program based on recommendations from supporting organizations. 
  • Participate in weekly meetings, program reviews, and attend meetings at USG, contractor, and subcontractor facilities.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; Four (4) additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with the Army Acquisition process, including JCIDS and PPBE.
  • Preferred military experience working in a "operations' shop or similar (id. Sr. NCO, or Junior Officer) staff position
  • Should also have experience running/ managing an Army program.

Required Clearance:

Must currently have or be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance. May begin working with an interim clearance.
