SAIC is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join our TAGM team located in Huntsville, AL.
This is a hybrid position at the discretion of the Huntsville, AL Army customer.
Program Information:
The TAGM Program Office encompasses such Army systems as TOW, Javelin and Hellfire missile systems as well as rapid capability development and contractor oversight for the various systems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serves as a software team member for Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire Guided and Wireless Guided (TOW) Product Office supporting the TOW Software Lead on all software related items
- Performs software engineering functions for the development and qualification of the TOW System, Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS), Improved Bradley Acquisition System (IBAS), Basic Skills Trainer (BST), and Collective Skills Trainer (CST)
- Contribute as a member of the multiple Integrated Product Teams across the Product Office. (AUR, SEIT, Safety, etc.)
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- BS degree in computer science or engineer and eight (8) years of experience.
Required Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to employment; must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance to maintain employment.
Required Skills:
- Software engineering experience with weapon systems
- Familiarity with C, C++, and Ada
- Strong knowledge of software engineering process, such as software change request, peer reviews, agile development, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and configuration management.
- Requirements development, Software & firmware design, and Functional Qualification Test (FQT)
- CDRL (Contract Data Requirement List) documentation review
- Prepare and/or obtain software documents for material release, software safety, AIC (Army Interoperability Certification) waiver, and cyber security.
- Leadership and management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with implementing cybersecurity requirements in software
Travel:
- 10%-25% of time CONUS travel: duration of 3-5 days
