SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking highly motivated Information Systems Security Designers to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to design, develop, test, and evaluate information systems security throughout the systems development lifecycle.  As an Information Systems Security Designer, you will conduct technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies for a mission customer.  Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the production of valuable intelligence to facilitate positive mission outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Reviewing and permitting the installation of firewall, VPN, servers, and routers
• Testing, evaluating, and approving the final security structures
• Building complex security systems and ensuring they function properly
• Utilizing trusted security tools and developing new ones in order to mitigate the security vulnerabilities
• Preparing security design drawings (e.g., system layouts, system riser diagrams, and/or installation details)
• Ensures correct implementation of the security procedures and policies and teach them how to respond instantly to the security related incidents
• Contributing to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations
• Supporting security authorization activities in compliance with Information System Certification and Accreditation process, DoD Risk Management Framework, and the NIST Risk Management Framework process
• Maintenance of the security of the Sponsor’s systems

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience with security system design
• Strong understanding of security system architectures, functionality,
  capabilities.
• Experience with designing security solutions, including preparing floor plan layouts, riser block diagrams, installation details, and writing engineering specification
• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met
• Detailed oriented skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
