SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking highly motivated Hardware / Software Design Engineers to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to design, develop, construct, test, and/or evaluate computer or computer related equipment.  As a Hardware / Software Design Engineer, you will support a broad range of specialized skills, including Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Communications Engineering.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Applying software engineering principles to design, develop, test, and evaluate and/or modify software applications
• Designing, developing, testing, and evaluating programmable hardware devices or digital circuits
• Programming, modifying, and/or configuring system software that manages the computer the computer hardware and provides services to the applications

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with reverse engineering firmware or software
• Understanding of the basics of computer networking and low level protocols
• Understanding of the basic concepts of cryptography and cryptographic systems
• Ability to work effectively across several different functional areas in a collaborative environment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills
