SAIC is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to support the OSD Multi-Service Advanced Capabilities Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) from our Washington, DC location.

NOTE: Role can be performed remotely, but requires visits to customer site 2-3 times weekly for SIPR access and classified meetings.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candidate would be responsible for creating, analyzing, implementing and updating security policies, procedures, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, and materials. Position requires strong background in Information and Operations Security. The successful candidate will be a proactive, forward leaning self-starter with exceptional judgment to interface with stakeholders at all levels.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Developing a security program and providing recommendations and corrective actions as required
  • Enforcing policies for document and access controls, transmission of sensitive information and materials, and related information controls and safeguards
  • Generating and updating training packages to ensure that personnel are informed of security requirements (i.e., OPSEC briefings)
  • Working with the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) to review and clear a variety of documents that will be released
  • Supporting and advising meetings and briefings for events
  • Understanding participant program Security Classification Guides (SCGs) to provide security guidance to support internal and external stakeholders. Helping to develop an SCG for Mach-TB
  • Generating flight test security plans

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience
  • Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. This position will require heavy interface with various customers/stakeholders.
  • Experience writing SOPs, procedures, and processes
  • Knowledge of DoD guidance on classified materials and handling, destruction and storage, CUI/S classification categories
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior Security support for military, DoD, federal agencies, or similar background. Knowledge of DODM 5200.01, DODI 5200.01, DOD 5220.22, EO 13526, DODI 5200.33, EO 12829, NIST SP 800-60

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Active Secret with the ability to obtain Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must be able to secure SIPR access near locations 2-3 days as a requirement for this role
