Introduction  

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.  

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.  

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT). 
 

Job Description  

  • Provides engineering support and ensures application of the DevSecOps approach to efforts to investigate, analyze, plan, design, build, test, and deploy technology solutions to enhance and optimize a transformation infrastructure program within the DoD infrastructure as part of the overall strategic objective of the customer modernization initiatives and provide an improved flexible enterprise IT environment.
  • Builds platforms and infrastructure needed to support automation of security integration at every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery.
  • Supports implementation and improvement of the infrastructure with DevSecOps automation in IT service capacity and demand management.
  • Collaborates with customers and team members in an Agile environment to gather, understand, and refine platform and application requirements. Supports interfacing and integrating cloud instances and applications with cloud platforms and applications managed in AWS and other clouds.
  • Follows DevSecOps best practices for full security integration in all software development lifecycle phases, infrastructure as code, operational visibility, and site reliability engineering practices to create scalable and highly reliable systems. Supports planning, design and development of FedRAMP authorized cloud-based capabilities for customer-directed cloud workspace.
  • Offers recommendations and evaluations for cloud strategies and emerging technology impacts, supporting feasibility studies and addressing IT performance gaps and technology overlaps. Supports analysis of system needs from perspectives of current and future performance expectations and computing power requirements, integration limitations, and organizational goals.
  • Creates functional design specifications and contributes to development of project plans. Provide inputs into activity reports. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications  

It is required that the Senior DevSecOps Engineer has the following qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree

  • 9 -13 years of related experience 

  • Active Top Secret clearance (SCI Eligible) 

  • Must meet Information Assurance requirements in accordance with DoDD 8140 (Security+ and/or CISSP)

Desired Qualifications  

  • MA/MS with 7 to 11 years of experience 

  • TS/SCI cleared
