SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) business unit, Emerging Technology Organization is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating the company's technology resources. The goal of the Emerging Tech Organization is to examine short- and long-term needs while using capital to make investments that aid the organization in reaching its goals. We do this by overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for customers, vendors, and other clients to help improve and increase business. The Emerging Tech Organization represents the company’s interests, assists the NIC team as they engage on opportunities, and facilitates technology transfer during the proposal process.

We are seeking a Technical Analyst to team with our Technical Director to understand commercial and SAIC technology offerings, align these to our roadmap of opportunities and inject them into winning proposals to become the leading provider of digital transformation solutions in the IC.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Study emerging trends in the information technology field and their ramifications/application on the NIC organization and programs
  • Assist in the identification of new opportunities for IT to drive innovation for our customers
  • Performing research on new technologies that could enhance our solutions
  • Monitor the use and implementation of new and existing technologies across the NIC and SAIC
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of technology strategies; aligning the company’s technology resources with its short-term and long-term goals
  • Assist in the alignment of technology goals to organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate commercial outreach activities with industry partners.
  • Assist in the Identification of which technologies can be used to improve our products and services.
  • Support proposal, RFI, and whitepaper development.
 
 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, System Engineering, etc.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Strong knowledge of various technologies, and real technology acumen, especially in the architecture, software, and technology strategy areas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communications and collaboration abilities
  • Strong Organizational Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the cleared government contracting environment 
  • Strong technical background - either software engineering or technical program management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with security/risk compliance
  • Able to prioritize activities in complex projects/programs, and influence stakeholders, at times with limited direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes, resourceful and creative in collecting data, with experience collecting large amounts of data and translating it into requirements
