Introduction  

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).  The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer Senior to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.  

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation’s information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.  

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT). 

Job Description  

  • Provides software engineering support to cohesively design and implement networks, systems, applications, and technology to integrate and improve a transformation infrastructure program within the DoD enterprise.
  • Coding, debugging, compiling, integrating, and testing software solutions daily, with a focus on building and utilizing automation pipeline capability in A&E, IAW DoD and the customer OCIO policies, procedures, and data standards.
  • As part of an Agile team, uses a tailored SAFe Agile DevSecOps scrum process to design, develop, document, test, and debug software.
  • Transforms and integrates software using innovative solutions to solve identified problems.
  • Prepares operating instructions and ensures software standards are met. Performs architecture design, prototyping, proofs of concept, development of standards and test plans, code and module design, and data solution debugging.
  • Performs testing for movement from development to production. Ensures existence of backup and recovery capabilities, as well as disaster recovery/business continuity plans and other procedure and system documentation.
  • Remains abreast of, implements, and executes processes for complying with Government data and security standards.
  • Researches, suggests, and implements emerging technologies, services, and protocols, providing input to technology roadmap efforts.
  • Provides continuous software/hardware improvement, including integrating tools and information to facilitate sharing and efficiencies across applications and processes. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications  

It is required that the Software Engineer Senior have the following qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant IT/software engineering experience 
  • Top Secret (SCI Eligible) 
  • Must meet Information Assurance requirements in accordance with DoDD 8140 (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
  • Microsoft technologies as the primary software development platform including Microsoft Visual Studio C#, .NET framework, ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET)
  • Hands-on experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), ODBC, SQL Reporting Services, and Microsoft Access
  • Web Technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Services, ADO, ADO.NET, and IIS
  • Experienced with TCP/IP socket communications
  • FTP/SFTP, XML, and data encryption

Desired Qualifications  

  • MA/MS with 3 to 6 years of experience 

  • TS/SCI
