We are seeking a Software Engineer (SWE) in our clients Fort Meade Maryland area facilities to provide Life Cycle Sustainment (LCS), modernization, and/or support activities for commercial and custom-developed education, learning, and training applications supporting the Government enterprise, to possibly include its Human Resource Applications and Services organizations. The candidate must be a strong senior developer that is comfortable digging into the products and developing a subject matter expertise, tackling challenges sometimes without a lot of guidance or information, and collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment. 

The primary responsibilities of this role require maintaining and enhancing complex operational software systems, interacting with Government project leadership on priorities, developing task estimates, and providing input to Government roadmaps. Other activities include conducting upgrades, debugging existing software and correcting defects; integrating existing software into new or modified systems and operating environments; investigating and analyzing user problems and identifying potential solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Six (6) years of experience as a SWE
• Experience in one of the following JavaScript frameworks: Angular, Vue, React, with the willingness and ability to pivot to one of the others
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA Section508 compliance)
• Experience creating and consuming RESTful endpoints
• Experience setting up and maintaining Linux environments
• Willingness to learn modern technologies
• Working understanding on SQL and/or NoSQL databases
