SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support the US Navy in Yuma, AZ.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
• Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
• Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.).
• Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications.
• Undertakes analyses of data where guidelines are provided.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• AA Degree in related discipline and six (6) years or more of related experience; Or, High School and eight (8) years of related experience with relevant certification.
• 4 – 5 years of Engineering Technician and/or Communications, Electrical experience.

  DESIRED SKILLS:

• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong electrical/mechanical background, baseline of Networking or information technology.
• Preferred vendor experience: FLIR, US Towers, Cisco, Motorola, Cambium

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Able to start once Interim Secret is granted.
