SAIC is currently hiring a Sr. Analyst for a position in Austin, TX supporting the modernization of the US Army.

SAIC has an immediate need for a Senior Analyst / Action Officer experienced in DoD weapon system development efforts, to provide analysis, tracking and reporting of activities of key signature efforts across the Army Futures Command (AFC), AFC Cross Functional Teams (CFTs), Combat Development Integration Directorates (CDIDs), and other organizations. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that will determine the future integrated systems.  Ideal candidates will have substantial experience providing Integrated Master Schedule(s) (IMS) and Integrated Master Plan(s) (IMP).  This position requires the ability to work with multiple AFCs subordinate organizations to track technologies on the AFC Decision Support System (DSS) so that General Officer-level modernization decisions, relevant supporting information, and Integrated Army Modernization Schedule (IAMS) events that impact the delivery of Signature Modernization Efforts, Programs, and Products are captured in a near real-time database. The selected candidate should have excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to recommend scheduling best practice and report progress of inconsistent data resolution. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to critically assess schedules and other project data then communicate priority findings to teams for key milestone gate reviews.
  • Assist in managing projects according to schedules and resolving issues related to the schedule.
  • Prepare and present briefings on schedule status and overall program health to varying levels of management.
  • Direct and oversee the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks and correspondence.
  • Execute the action tracking process to include:  receiving, recording and tracking action items, and coordinating responses with multiple internal and external offices; analyzing each item received to determine appropriate dissemination for action, coordination, and/or information; and corresponding with internal and external offices to clarify actions and deadlines.
  • Monitor progress on actions, prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions maintaining action status log.
  • Provide statistical reporting and position justification for Congressional and Intelligence Community reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and five (5) years or more related experience; Master and three (3) or more years related experience; PhD and zero (0) years experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with the application of MS Project and/or Primavera tools to develop detailed schedules and perform ongoing schedule maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Customer focused and capable of representing the customer as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Department of Defense/Army programs
  • Knowledgeable with JCIDS Program Lifecycle scheduling.
  • Experience in operations planning and coordination in a DoD senior level staff.
  • Knowledgeable with the DoD Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) (formerly the Task Management Tool (TMT). 
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/ Data visualization tools (R-shiny, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)   

Travel:

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
