SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking highly motivated Cryptographic Security Designers to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to develop complex security systems utilizing algorithms and cyphers to encrypt sensitive data.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Identifying weaknesses and designing robust secure systems to assist with negating risks
  • Developing and utilizing various mathematical or statistical models to analyze and secure potential threats to systems
  • Implementing and optimizing cryptographic algorithms for the Sponsor’s systems
  • Improving the speed of cryptographic capabilities
  • On-going development of encryption technology, training, and enhancement of IT security
  • Collaborating with information security analysts, security architects, and other cross-functional teams
  • Testing cryptology theories in practice according to the Sponsor’s needs

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience converting plain data into an encrypted format
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing cryptographic code
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and statistical modelling techniques
  • Understanding of source code programming such as C#, C++, .NET, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, and/or Ruby on Rails
  • Knowledge of IT security hardware, software, and solutions
