Senior Software Test Engineer

SAIC has an immediate opening on a prime contract for a Software Test Engineer to work on a mission critical program! We are looking for someone who is a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to test various software and applications. The tester will work as part of the team that provides solutions for problems that deal with Internet technologies and applications, cyber fundamentals, encryption, digital footprint, and Internet vulnerabilities. In this position, the tester will test various software applications on both PC and mobile emulators, create test procedures and reports, perform functional, integration, and regression testing. Additionally, the candidate will document defects, new features and enhancements to include release notes. Strong communication skills are needed to work with members of the development team and customer to communicate results and status of activities.

Qualifications

• Must have an active TS/SCI and Poly
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but experience can be substituted for the degree
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with both Windows and Linux Operating Systems, as well as the Linux command line
• Use of any of the following browsers: Firefox, Chrome, or TOR

• Scripting (in bash or python)
