Description

SAIC is seeking a highly mid-level Cybersecurity Engineer with a background in vulnerability remediation, automation, and information security. The engineer will be responsible for designing and deploying creative automated solutions using various tools to harden and protect laboratory and engineering information systems.  The engineer will utilize virtual machines and containers, leveraging multiple operating systems such as Windows and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) to build and implement innovative solutions.  The engineer will be a part of a multi-disciplinary DevSecOps team and will work with teammates to establish security principles, deploy solutions, and ensure network is properly secured.

Our new teammate will be able to work equally well in a team as on their own and has the discipline, focus and ability to work remotely. We want a team player that is eager to learn and ready for a challenge.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Tenneble/ACAS software to review, generate reports, and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) via automated processes to a wide range of networked systems
  • Experience with Anisble/Ansible Tower, or similar technologies, and running developed automated solutions against a variety of operating systems
  • Experience with risk management (RMF) and its nuances
  • Experience using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Systems Center Operation Manager (SCOM) to manage networked systems
  • Experience developing and deploying Configuration Manager packages, MSI files, batch files, PowerShell scripts, etc.
  • Experience writing and executing PowerShell scripts, Python Scripts, Linux Shell scripts
  • Experience creating, editing, and deploying group policy objects (GPO)
  • Experience automating solutions via scripts, packages, playbooks, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) and Windows operating environments, their core principles, and general functioning
  • Knowledge of security concepts applicable to local and cloud systems
  • Knowledge of server hardware and storage technology
  • Applicant must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance
  • Applicant must have or be able to quickly achieve a CompTIA Security+CE certification
  • Ability to research and learn new technologies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience logging with SolarWinds
  • Experience with multi-OS domain authentication solutions
  • Experience with VMWare vSphere, ESXi, or other hypervisor solutions
  • Experience with container orchestrators such as Docker
  • Experience with cloud-specific security principles
  • Knowledge of platform as a service (PaaS) and automated systems deployment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience
