SAIC is currently seeking to hire multiple Network Administrators to support a new and exciting Space Force program located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Note, candidate must live in or near Colorado Springs or be willing to relocate. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Performs installation, maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
• Assists with network design activities and develop, update and modify standard operating procedures
• Develop and update technical documentation (network architecture text and diagrams, security plan controls etc.) in support of certification and accreditation for the network
• Assists with tests used to certify network to required installation design standards
• The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and be able to operate without supervision when required
• Develop documentation to improve current network operating procedures
• Draft configuration change control proposals for submission to the Configuration Control Board (CCB)
• Create and update topology diagrams and associated documentation for each office location and network enclave
• Review log events and operate network management applications to perform fault detection, identify performance metrics, and generate reports to support specific service level requirements
• Develop scripts to identify security events, fault detection, correlation of log events, performance metrics, and generate reports to support specific service level requirements
• Helps analyze, troubleshoot, track, and repair data communications networks

Qualifications

Required Education: 

Bachelors with five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. 

Requrired Clearance:

Must have an active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance; US Citizenship required. 

Required Certifications: 

• Must have CCNA or CCNP certification or equivalent
• AND one of the following IAT certifications: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP

Required Skills:

• Experience with cloud services, alarm surveillance, fault management and LAN maintenance
• Experience CISCO, Palo Alto, and/or Aruba Switching
• Experience with Network Security (STIGS, Access Control Lists, Traffic, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
• Experience in network and IT equipment evaluation/test/repair, and technical troubleshooting and corrective maintenance development
• Basic Linux skills
• Experience working in VDI environment
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
• Hands-on experience with network evaluation and troubleshooting tools
• Experience with the design of physical networks
• Knowledge of and experience with network management systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Must have experience with Wireshark, Ethereal, tcpdump or equivalent packet decoding tools to collect and review packet captures
• In-depth understanding of virtual applications and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) design and implementation
• ITIL Certifications
• Deep Packet & TCP/IP Analysis

 

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
