Description

SAIC is seeking Linux/UNIX System Administrator to join its Blue Team Vulnerability Assessment Program in Chantilly, Virginia. This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform as a senior-level system administrator and team member supporting technical projects within on-premises and cloud environments
  • Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Linux/UNIX systems
  • Implement operating system and application security hardening
  • Conduct system monitoring, security, server health, resource and log management of all Linux/UNIX systems/instances
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis; includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, hardware components, and user access
  • Author, collaborate on, and maintain project and system documentation

Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and 5 years or more experience; Masters and 3 years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Poly
  • Current or ability to obtain a DoD Directive 8570/8140 IAT/IAM II Certification

Desired Skills (practical knowledge or experience within most of the following areas):

  • Administering or engineering management of networked deployments of Linux/UNIX Operating systems
  • Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)
  • Reviewing, understanding, and implementing network and security protocols and methods (i.e. 802.1x, DHCP, VLANs, SSH, ACLs, Firewalls, IPSEC/TLS, et al) with familiarity of Cisco and Juniper technologies
  • Identity and Authentication solutions including LDAP, PKI, Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Implementing and maintaining systems governed under Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 implementations in secure environments.
  • Cloud and virtualized system environments
