SAIC is seeking a Software Developer for the Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP), supporting the Commander, COMNAVSURFLANT Command in Norfolk, VA, to develop, test, deliver, and maintain various software.

This is a HYBRID position that requires to your be on site in Norfolk, VA at least one (1) day per week. 

• The candidate will assist other developers in application development, and information assurance best practices to test, field, certify/accredit and support software.
• Under minimal direction, provide specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines, and has a general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas.
• Perform in-depth analyses and provide technical support for systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Assist the planning and conversion for new software products.
• Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products.
• Works from specifications to develop or modify applications.
• Assists with design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs within the CMP team.
• Interfaces with external system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve overall efficiency of the system.
• Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience. Four (4) years of industry certification and experience may be applied in lieu of a Bachelors. 

Required Skills:

• Fall-stack development experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with debugging/testing
• Understanding of OOP
• Web Application development and testing

Certification Required to begin work: Comp TIA Security+

Desired:

• PHP
• Microsoft SQL Server (experience writing queries)
• C#.NET programming experience
• Sybase SQL (experience writing queries)
• Java Script
• CSS

Clearance:

• U.S. citizen with an Interim Secret security clearance to start work and ability to obtain a Secret.
