SAIC is currently seeking a Business Development and Knowledge Analyst to join our Proposal Development Center. This is a key role in supporting the knowledge management and lessons learned tools that directly assist our BD, capture, proposal development, and solution development teams as they pursue new business opportunities. Position may be remote for the right candidate.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify new content for the KM tools and update existing content. 
  • Work with proposal teams and review proposal documentation for reusable content. 
  • Work with organizations outside of the Proposal Development Center to identify, gather, and maintain knowledge and content helpful to capture, BD, and proposal teams. 
  • Create content and documentation from scratch as needed, using input from multiple sources.
  • Work within the KM and lessons learned tools to create, add, and maintain the KM and lessons learned content, libraries, and access controls. 
  • Contribute to improvement and expansion of the existing tools by identifying new capabilities and working with the developers to design, test, and implement them. 
  • Provide direct support to users of the KM and lessons learned tools by responding to user calls and emails.
  • Provide outreach and training (ad-hoc, forums, 1:1) to the user community.
  • Qualify opportunities to be included in the lessons-learned process.
  • Request, analyze, and decompose Government debrief data.
  • Perform general lessons learned analysis to support SAIC win-loss lessons learned tools and objectives.
  • Consolidate and analyze lessons learned survey responses. 
  • Analyze existing lessons learned documentation and feedback and establish common themes.
  • Provide guidance to other departments on applicable key lessons learned and suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist with supporting the development and maintenance of repeatable lessons learned procedures, artifacts, and templates.
  • Perform administrative and analytical tasks in support of the KM and lessons learned team.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelors and 6+ years of related experience; Masters and 4+ years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in capture/proposals, business development, and/or solution development.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with Government award process and documentation.
  • Self-starter, highly innovative, and possess strong skills in organizing and managing time across multiple tasks; capable of working independently and proactively.
  • Excellent writing skills to support creating new knowledge management content.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools especially MS Excel; aptitude for quickly learning related tool sets.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft PowerBI desired, but not required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
