About the SAIC MSI Program

 

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has been awarded a $165 million contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve as a Multi-sourcing service integrator (MSI). SAIC will provide an innovative approach to assist the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) with modernizing the state’s technology infrastructure. Under the contract, SAIC will coordinate and monitor multiple IT infrastructure services suppliers for state executive branch agencies. The MSI is the cornerstone of a strategy that will diversify the state’s portfolio of suppliers, improve service delivery quality, ensure cost-competitiveness, and provide transparency and accountability into the commonwealth’s service delivery platform.

 
Position Summary

 

SAIC is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our account team supporting a major state & local government customer. The Configuration Manager:

  • Supports the configuration of tools, including development of reports, dashboard configuration and distribution, and working with development team to update functionality and data as needed.
  • Provides program coordination and control support for planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. This individual will have a complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices and standards in Project Management and full knowledge of industry practices.
  • Position requires significant interface with project managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, subcontract management, etc. 
  • Supports the PMs as needed for coordination, analysis, and project schedule development; this also includes creating dashboards and sharing access with stakeholders, creating Sharepoint sites, developing training materials, and providing training to users.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more of related experience; Masters degree and one (1) year of related experience. May consider a high school education and an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • Strong skills with MS Office products: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Prior experience working with ServiceNow project scheduling function preferred.
  • Prior experience working with or for a Commonwealth of VA Agency or VITA desired.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working independently and in small groups.
  • Ability to lead / assist with formulation and definition of solution scope on functional requirements and specifications.
