SAIC has an immediate opening on a prime program that directly supports national security. We are looking for an adept professional with customer acquisition experience to support their efforts in planning and executing acquisitions within the organization. The successful candidate will bring experience with developing an acquisition approach, understanding contract types to use for particular acquisitions, and drafting artifacts to enable a successful acquisition.   

Qualifications

• A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but experience can be substituted for a degree
• Must have a current TS/SCI and Poly
• Experience with the customer’s acquisition lifecycle process to help support various projects from inception to completion.
• Fundamental understanding of the Government’s budget lifecycle, how to develop a plan, allocate resources then track top level project execution against the plan
• Knowledge of contract types used by the Government and which ones to use to achieve a particular customer outcome for acquisitions
• Ability to help craft acquisition approaches and artifacts to include eliciting and capturing requirements and prioritizing them, SOW development, etc
• Strong Government programmatic experience helping the customer drive success in all their activities by providing sound advice

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment
• Understanding of governance boards and processes

Desired:

• IT project management experience
• Experience working with or helping manage Government contracts
