Description
SAIC is seeking a System Integrator that has experience in IT systems management, managing project transitions in accordance with the Defense Acquisition System Lifecycle and PPB&E process. This individual should possess the management skills, knowledge and experience to lead, facilitate and collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT Investments across the Joint environment. They should have some experience working in any of the military branches of the Department of Defense. Joint Staff, COCOM experience, and PMP certification are preferred.
The System Integrator will establish and implement strategic initiatives and IT management best practices to ensure all JS IT Investments have well-planned transition plans to each phase of the emerging technologies to include but not limited to migration to cloud, records management, IPv6 and 5G solutions. Additionally, they will maintain an effective means of communication across multiple JS portfolio managers, including owners of applicable software, data centers and technical support agreements, as required. The will present plans to the government and support the JS method of tracking execution of their plans.
The System Integrator shall provide support for Enterprise-wide system integration projects and should have an understanding of PMBOK and have extensive experience in IT Project Management. Contractor shall use their in-depth knowledge of Defense System Lifecycle Management to refine and improve the IT acquisition, development and operational sustainment program for the JS CIO. They will proactively coordinate across the Deputy Directorate CIO and its members to assist with improving the overall quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the JS CIO policies.
This individual will support CIO collaboration with JS IT Portfolio Managers and Information System owners on the JS IT Investment policy and enable the documentation of supporting procedures. In addition, serve as a subject matter expert in the development and delivery Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT Investments.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
Project management experience is a preferred but not required.
Project Management certification is a plus.
Experience working in the Joint Staff or a military environment is preferred.
Technical experience in areas such as Cloud preferred but not required
