Description
SAIC is seeking a college intern to join our Bioeffects research team conducting basic and applied research on biological effects of optical exposures in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory. The individual will work with scientists to conduct spectroscopic analyses of the effects of optical exposure on biological samples. This is a full-time position based at the Air Force Research Laboratory at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities include:
Perform optical spectroscopy techniques such as uv-visible absorption, fluorescence, and circular dichroism
Communicate results both orally and in writing
Qualifications
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a physical science.
Previous involvement in research projects
Familiarity with optical spectroscopy techniques.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
