Description
SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Army Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) training solutions with the Joint Technology Center/Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) in Huntsville, AL.
Systems Administrator candidate will be required to design and implement solutions that meet requirements for UAS training solutions in the scope of software systems configuration, network implementation, and system deployment methodologies. Strong integration with the program’s security team is essential for rapid responsiveness to program security needs. You will have to work with a team of engineers to review and define configurations, create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets, review, test, and deploy software applications to include hardening and configuration management.
Responsibilities include:
- System deployment and configuration for RHEL 7/8 and CentOS Linux
- System security management using RMF and associated DoD security practices.
- System patching and updating, to include RMF requirements and DoD STIGs
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree.
Required Clearance:
- An Interim Secret Clearance must be obtained prior to employment; a Secret Security Clearance must be obtained to maintain employment.
Required Skills:
- Experience working in both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Intermediate knowledge with scripting and automation tools such as bash scripting and python scripting.
- Experience with automated building Linux systems (Kickstart) is a plus.
- Understanding and experience with ESXi VMware server technologies.
- Ability to configure and manage Linux systems IAW DoD and Army STIGs to maintain security posture.
- Basic knowledge with remediation via scripts such as PowerShell or batch files.
- Bash scripting and process automation
- PKI Authentication and SSL Certification Management
- DoD STIG Compliance
- DoD 8570 IAT II (or better) Certification (i.e. Security+)
- OS Software Certification (i.e. Linux+)
