SAIC is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to our team in Huntsville, AL.

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for design and development of embedded software for military systems. The candidate will perform development activities for the full life cycle of a software program.

Responsibilities Include:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.
• Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Four (4) years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance and have the ability to maintain one.

Required Skills:

• Experience programming with C or C++
• Object-oriented programming and design, including writing unit tests
• Software Development for Embedded Systems experience
• Experience with Android development, Linux systems, ATAK, and knowledge of working with US Army radio and satellite communications. 
• Working on a cross-functional teams with many engineering disciplines  
• Continuous Integration and Automation 

Desired Skills:

• Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• MS Visual Studio (VS2017), VxWorks, Linux, SCM tools
• Enterprise Architect
• Agile Development Experience
• Scrum Experience
• Other Object Oriented Languages
