SAIC is seeking a Tactical Data Link Engineer in one of three locations in Saudi Arabia; Riyadh, Jeddah or Jubail. The candidate will provide Systems Engineering and O&M support in the areas of Link-11, Link-16, TACAN and Link-22, engineering, integration, installation, testing, and analysis of the MIDS Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) and the MIDS Low Volume Terminal (LVT) to Royal Saudi Naval Forces at Command Operations Centers and Afloat units. This role will report directly to the Technical Support Lead Engineer and is responsible for on-site support, phone support, installation, and integration support for MIDS JTRS radios, existing Link-11 O&M and future Link-22 implementations.
Job Duties:
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) to one of three locations in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Jeddah or Jubail providing OJT, field support, integration and installation support and product demonstrations.
- Act as the primary contact for customer instruction, as well as coordination with development engineering, manufacturing teams to address all manners of technical improvements, radio waveform developments and technical issues that need to be shared during courses of instruction.
- Integrate existing and new operational Link-11, MIDS/LINK 16, Link-22 and JTRS compliant radios, support equipment, and craft documentation based on integration and installation efforts, and will also provide TDL engineering support to include: terminal level pre-screening, expediting terminal repairs, software reprogramming and coordinating Return to Vendor repairs for the MIDS Depot.
- Proven background in Military Radio Communications.
- Validated experience with Engineering Change Procedures.
- Joint Interface Control Officer/Interface Control Officer or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with MIDS-JTRS.
- Experience with Link 22, Link 11 and TTNT waveforms and Basic understanding of datalink networking.
- Must have U.S. citizenship.
- Must currently hold active SECRET clearance.
Preferred:
- Cisco Routing, IP Networking/VLAN Setup.
- Understanding of software reprogramming of military radios.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
