This is full time position supporting a DoD client. This is an opportunity to not just develop software, but to build a system that will have a positive impact. As a full-stack developer, the candidate can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced and Agile environment. SAIC is looking for a developer with the advanced skills needed to build a system from vision to production ready. 

This position is more than just coding. We need a Database Engineer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. On our team, you’ll help customers overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, including future functionality and enhancements.  

Work with us as we build systems to change National Security for the better.  This is an onsite role in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance 
• Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; 
• 5+ years of experience with software development  
• Experience with back-end development 
• Experience with J2EE Web Development and Spring Boot 
• Experience with frameworks, including Flask or Django 
• Experience with Application Programming Interface development including REST architectural style 
• Knowledge of Agile methodology 

Desired Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with developing backend software  
• 2+ years of experience with developing in a microservices architecture 
• Experience with JavaScript, Java Beans, JSP, JMS, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, DHTML, HTML or XML 
• Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting 
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab 
• Knowledge of front-end users’ requirements  
• Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions 
• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification
