SAIC is seeking a highly experience, customer-oriented CIO/CISO who is prepared to apply his/her energy and experience to lead a large IT and Cyber organization for a critical project.  The position will be responsible for all dimensions of the program including leadership, service level delivery, budget management, customer service and employee/contractor management as some examples.  The team will support a wide variety of technology across all the IT areas service management, infrastructure, application development, networking and cyber.  Cyber is a critical part of the team due to the classified work and the high security needed to protect the environment.  Here are some of the activities the position will be responsible for:

  • IT Services Delivery, Management and Maintenance
  • Digital strategy development and execution including modernization and legacy system management.
  • Spearheading digital transformation and moving the organization forward to leverage information technology to reduce cost, improve effectiveness while ensuring the organization is secure at all times from cyber risks.
  • Analyzing risks, costs and benefits of information technology and presenting these to leadership.
  • Negotiating with vendors for IT products and services
  • Working with business and internal stakeholders to ensure advance product and service innovation.
  • Establishing departmental goals and leading the organization to achieve those goals.
  • Working with business units to identify risks and risk management processes.
  • Leading the team to analyze cyber threats in real time and ensuring mitigations are in place while continually improving the cyber posture to reduce risk and proactively identify new potential risks.
  • Ensuring legacy and new technology complies with all security regulations.  These include authority to operate and similar structured processes to ensure environment security.
  • Leading the organization to leverage best practices such as NIST, ITIL, ISO and others to provide outstanding services to the organization that are continually improving.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 25 or more years program/project management experience with continually increasing levels of responsibility
  • 15 or more years leading IT and cybersecurity for NNSA (or agency with comparable security requirements)
  • >$100M IT/cybersecurity budget managed
  • >100 IT/cybersecurity personnel managed
  • Proof of successful modernization (e.g., classified computing in a cloud environment)
  • Experience with relevant scope such as the following:
    • Operating and maintaining IT/cybersecurity systems
    • Maintaining appropriate system qualifications (e.g., Cyber Security Service Provider [CSSP])
    • Performing assessments, audits, and inspections of IT operations
  • Quantifiable proofs of high performance such as the following:
    • % of service level agreement (SLA) requirements met
    • Minimal audit/assessment findings5 years of project management experience
  • Certified CISSP
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.  Must have experience doing presentations to other leadership and customers to communicate technology initiatives and get buy in.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience establishing and qualifying IT and Cybersecurity at a new site or organization.
