SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer with systems administration experience to support MDA located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

Position Overview: 

Will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our customers computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our customer needs to ensure these services run smoothly on a day-to-day basis ensuring secure operation throughout each location.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • As a member of this team you will lead and collaborate on software development tasks including technical design and development of cloud-based products. As a Senior Developer, you will provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers on the team 
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software
  • Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting
  • Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program, data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
  • Assist a team of professionals with successfully coordinating, planning, and executing IT requirements for large-scale distributed events and exercises.  Assists in analyzing, project planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing large complex systems 
  • Serve as part of a talented team of system and networks administrators and engineers who collectively demonstrate excellent technical competency and reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure and continually ensure the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security
  • Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks
  • Installing and configuring networking hardware

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree. 

 

Required Clearance:

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Poly; US Citizenship required. 

Required Experience:

  • Proven ability with Windows and Linux Operating System, Network Administration and Installation, Computer Networks, Hardware and Software
  • At least 5 years’ experience of overall software development and Agile SAFe development
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and determine solutions
  • Ability to author, understand, and translate business-level acceptance criteria into technical designs
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices

Additional Experience Desired (not required):

  • Flight Simulator Software
  • Virtual Reality / Mixed Reality
  • Cloud Administration
  • Security+ certification 
  • 5 years’ experience with C# (website), SQL, and JavaScript
  • 3 years’ experience with SAFe

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
