SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Lead / Scrum Master to join our Information Technology Transformation to Cloud Enterprise (IT2CE) team.  As the Technical Lead / Scrum Master, you will oversee the Agile teams who are planning and executing the migration of any project, program, system, entity, instance, Information Technology (IT) asset, or data that exists in the Sponsor’s environment to a multi-cloud environment.  Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring scrum is understood and the team adheres to scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Leading the Agile teams on how to use Agile methodology and scrum practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
  • Coaching the Agile teams in self-organization, cross-functional skill set, and domain knowledge
  • Facilitating and supporting all scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Working with the Agile teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making
  • Resolving team impediments to increase the effectiveness of the application of scrum on the program
  • Assisting the Agile teams achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
  • Contributing to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the program

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with eligibility and willingness to take a CI polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM domain or related field
  • 18+ years of experience with a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and using successful Agile techniques
  • Experience with product or project development
  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
  • Prior experience working on an Agile team
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization
  • Understanding of facilitation techniques
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with any of the following Cloud Service Providers (CSPs):
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • IBM
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and mentoring skills

Desired: 

  • Experience working in a cloud and/or hybrid environment
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Certification:
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
