SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking a highly motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our Information Technology Transformation to Cloud Enterprise (IT2CE) team.  As the DevSecOps Engineer, you will be a part of an Agile development team, responsible for delivering an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.  Additionally, you will architect, design, and provide implementation patterns of security controls throughout the solution delivery life cycle.

 Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Designing and developing security patterns and guidelines to enable applications to stay compliant, and integrating them with DevOps processes and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines from early stages of the life cycle
• Building and configuring delivery environments supporting CI/CD tools utilizing Agile delivery methodology
• Overseeing the program’s security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Evaluating application performance, identifying potential bottlenecks, developing solutions, and implementing them

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with eligibility and willingness to take a CI polygraph 
• 9+ years of experience in building and deploying systems in the cloud using CI/CD
• 9+ years of experience developing, documenting, and implementing CI/CD strategy
• Experience in a cloud and/or hybrid environment
• Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in any of the following Cloud Service Providers (CSPs):
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • IBM Cloud
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

• Experience in administering and performance tuning of application stacks, such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Nginx, or others
• Strong scripting skills, including shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, and/or Python
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Desired:

• Strong analysis and quality assessment skills
• Experience with various Linux and Microsoft Windows OSs distributions
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and databases
• Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to, and from on-prem to cloud
• Certification(s):
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
