Description

The Vanguard 2.2.1 program currently has an opening for a CyberArk System Engineer supporting the Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM).
Vanguard 2.2.1 currently engineers and maintains web portals and web-based utilities to a number of IRM organizations and requires a qualified person to perform engineering and maintenance for the CyberArk system.  This includes web configuration, integration with other platforms, server configuration, design, implementation, and technical documentation.

The position may allow temporary hybrid remote work due to Covid-19.  Position may be called back onsite at any time at the customer's request.  Must be willing to travel within the Washington, DC Metro area to support various program initiatives and support a rotational on-call posture after normal working hours in response to technical support requests.

Description of Duties

The candidate must be able to perform general IT systems engineering activities, which include:

  • Analysis, Design, and Engineering
  • Testing
  • System security design and implementation
  • System Integration
  • Patching CyberArk platform
  • Working with customers to ensure their systems are well integrated with CyberArk.
  • Support Accreditation activities as a system engineer working with A&A security engineers
  • System & Operational Performance Analysis
  • System Architecture
  • Concept of Operations Formulation
  • Requirements Definition
  • Interface and Data Architectures
  • Decision Analysis and Resolution

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelors in a technical discipline and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years general engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience with CyberArk engineering support other customer’s usage of CyberArk
  • A background in Information security systems with specific knowledge around Access Control.
  • Hands on Windows 2012 and above Server Administration experience – 2+ years
  • Hands on Active Directory and LDAP queries experience – 2+ years
  • Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, VBScript)
  • Functional understanding of TCP/IP networks and Firewalls
  • Functional understanding of following protocols: TCP, UDP, DNS, NetBIOS,HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SSL
  • Functional understanding of database concepts
  • Prior experience in enterprise software deployments

Required Clearance

  • US Citizenship
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret

Desired Experience, Skills, & Attributes

  • CyberArk certifications
  • An advanced degree and certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, etc. are desirable.
  • Windows GPO management experience and Troubleshooting
  • Basic UNIX system administration
  • Basic database administration
  • Hands on IIS administration experience – 2+ years
  • Experience with the following technologies/products: Identity Management, SIEM
  • Authentication and SSO, System Monitoring and Alerting, Ticketing Systems,
  • Experience in Web development and creating APIs.
  • Functional understanding of Web Load Balancing solutions.
  • Splunk administration or development experience.
