SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team of diverse professionals in El Segundo, California. The selected candidate will evaluate, design, and lead implementation of full-stack cloud solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, building high availability for on and off premise cloud environments.

The candidate will work closely with engineers in accomplishing the following:

• Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions while leading small technical teams to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
• Evaluate emerging applications and architect solutions for data migrations across hybrid environments 
• Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation strategies
• Participate and collaborate in all meeting initiatives to account for mission requirements

Qualifications

Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of experience in/with or three year experience with a Masters degree

• Deploying applications in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud., and can elaborate on the -aaS hierarchy
• Designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions, including migration of legacy systems
• In scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic, .Net, Java, C, and C#  and configuration management (Git, Bitbucket)
• Exposure/Experience with microservices, swagger and API definitions
• Experience/exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Iac) development and administration developing or using tools such as Terraform, YAML, Ansible, Cloud formation, or equivalents a plus
