SAIC has an immediate opening for an innovative, highly motivated, self-starting Systems Engineer to join our team providing Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to the Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) in executing Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity project management supporting a fast-paced, operations-oriented government organization. Work location is Chantilly, VA.  The successful SETA:

• Supports efforts related to program integration, IT architecture, cloud hosting, technology refresh and modernization
• Provides technical and programmatic guidance to architecture and system level process
• Supports government with IT program planning and service provider assessments
• Facilitates planning efforts impacting the operation organization(s) and current/future equities

• Tracks cloud development, hosting, and architecture activities
• Facilitates communications, ground engineering, and related support for current/future operational systems
• Identifies current mission support tools and develops migration plan towards common tools
• Authors, renews, and tracks IT support related MOU/MOA for IT service provider services

• Facilitates Risk Management Framework compliance reviews with COTRs and Government  & Industry PMs by leveraging Service NOW reports and dashboards
• Represents ACIO position at headquarters and subordinate organization system engineering, IT and cybersecurity management forums

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• US Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) discipline and nine (9) or more years’ experience in related technical field; Master’s degree and seven (7)  years or more experience.  *STEM degree is a contractual requirement
• Demonstrated experience across full systems engineering and project management lifecycles in the space and ground domains
• Experience across entire systems development life cycle from requirements through decommissioning
• Possesses space and ground domain knowledge of customer’s mission technical capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously, works independently and with a team
• Highly motivated to learn new methodologies and technologies
• Polished verbal and written communicator, confident in presenting and explaining analysis and recommendations to all audience levels
• Diplomatic interpersonal skills, drives consensus and resolves politically sensitive topics, fosters collaborative relationships, exemplifies teamwork and cooperation with government, fellow SETAs and FFRDC personnel

Desired Qualifications:

• 4-years’ experience initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling DoD or IC Programs
• Knowledge of virtual and cloud computing technologies.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, CSEP, CISSP, AWS, Agile, Security+, etc.)
