SAIC is pursuing the high profile and scientifically crucial NASA Sounding Rocket Operations Contract (NSROC) IV effort in support of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and Sounding Rocket Program Office (SRPO) at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility (WFF).   

The NASA Sounding Rocket Program (NSRP) has a 40 year history of service to the Nation, and NSROC is a key element of that endeavor.  NSROC supports sounding rocket (scientific research rocket) vehicle and payload designs, production, environmental testing, and launch operations from many facilities in both the Continental United States (CONUS) and other launch ranges around the world.  This contract supports the scientific and engineering community, serving the research interests and needs of NASA and their many partners across government, academia, and industry.  It is an exciting and fast-paced engineering, manufacturing, and launch operations program with as many as 20 individual launch missions each year. 

NSROC needs the best sounding rocket engineers, technicians, and professionals in the country, right here on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland.  NSROC needs you!

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum requirements will vary based on role, level, education and experience

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

• Most positions do not require a security clearance
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Some positions may require a current Secret clearance
