SAIC has an opening for a Quality Manager to support DEVCOM AvMC Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Job Description:

The MLRS Quality Manager understands commonly accepted Quality standards and has proven leadership skills. The Quality Manager ensures Quality is integrated into Agile projects. This Manager leads, maintains, matures, and modernizes Quality processes and policies, while working with SAIC leadership to ensure work products reflect best practices for product delivery and outstanding customer service. The Quality Manager leads a Quality team in inspection, auditing, reporting and improving process and product delivery approaches and methods. This Manger develops and maintains the Quality Program Plan, works shoulder to shoulder with program and customer personnel to execute the plan, delivers metrics and supports CDRL deliverables. This role requires the ability to proactively seek to improve the Quality of all deliverable and work products, identify noncompliance issues and monitor the corrective action plan to completion. The Quality Manager provides schedule status on Quality activities and coordinates/conducts scheduled and unscheduled technical audits. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to support the development of high-quality products in an efficient and effective manner. 

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field and minimum five (5) experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing a team
• Ability to lead Quality personnel in all aspects of a Quality management program
• Ability to collect, evaluate, interpret, and report complex information and data to designated stakeholders
• Ability to effectively perform root cause analyses to bring about proactive Quality versus reactive Quality
• Strong communication skills and experience, including developing briefings that effectively communicate Quality goals, initiatives, and activities
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Work within defined test environments and support/validate all levels of product testing
• Exposure to Agile or Iterative development environments
• Experience conducting internal process audits and product reviews

Desired Skills:

• Ability to read and understand C/C++
• Experience in developing and/or implementing software work products
• Experience with real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop systems

Required Clearance:

Must have active Interim Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain an active  Secret clearance. Current Secret clearance preferred; US Citizenship required.
