SAIC has an immediate opening on a prime program that directly supports national security.  We are looking for an experienced candidate to advise the customer in the area of secure data transport.  The successful candidate will serve as an IT technology integrator and developer that utilizes networking hardware, virtual infrastructure, cloud-based infrastructure, containerization and hardware provisioning of small form-factor PCs for in-house quick reaction efforts. The candidate will work closely with the customer to continually evolve and integrate best practices to infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and deployment and is expected to leverage a deep understanding of various operating systems, networking protocols and security practices to deliver complex and unique solutions to enable mission.  Applicants are expected to already have a basic understanding of Linux, networking technologies and have a willingness to troubleshoot problems.    

Qualifications

• • Must already hold a TS/SCI with Poly
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant technical experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or commensurate experience
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities both locally and abroad
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (OSi model, IP subnetting basics, etc)
  • Experience using Linux to include command line
  • Experience implementing and deploying infrastructure and systems
  • Ability to cultivate in-depth expertise in Linux, networking protocols, logging and troubleshooting
  • Experience troubleshooting technical problems related to networking and virtualization technologies
  • Familiarization with virtualization and containerization techniques and technologies
  • Working knowledge of network routing, network security appliances, VPNs and encryption fundamentals (e.g. Wireguard, OpenSSL, asymmetric cryptography, etc)
  • Desire to create and innovate solutions in-house to address unique requirements
• Desired:
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Expert knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX file systems, permissions, feature sets, configurations
  • Experience working with cloud-based architectures (e.g. Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience working with infrastructure automation solutions (e.g. HCL, Terraform, Vagrant)
