Position Description:  

This position is for a Unified Communication Systems Administrator Principal that will support of the HHS Next Generation IT Services IT Operations contract. The successful candidate will have experience implementing, deploying, and operating Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solutions in a production environment and must be able to demonstrate an understanding of related technologies to include, but not limited to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Instant Messaging & Presence (IM&P), Cisco IP phones, video endpoints, WebEx, and Jabber soft clients. US Citizenship is required to access Federal Government client locations.

Position Responsibilities: 

• Configure/troubleshoot/build profiles, etc. for Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies (CUCM / CUC / Jabber / WebEx)
• Work in Service now to address tickets assigned to Unified Communications and Collaboration operations team and close them out within agreed resolution times
• Actively collaborate with fellow members of the team and contractors/vendors on bridge calls to prevent or resolve incidents/problems in an expeditious manner.
• Document detailed change implementation plans / procedures and be able to represent said plans during change management reviews
• Ensure patching and regular maintenance is performed as required.
• Support working outside of normal business hours for maintenance windows or "on-call" support when necessary to solve high profile incidents/problems.
• Work with ITIL and Change Management processes and comply with all security policies

Qualifications

 Required Education/Experience:  

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• 3+ years experience implementing and supporting Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies (CUCM / CUC / Jabber / WebEx)
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Experience with ServiceNow

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

• CCNA Collaboration is STRONGLY preferred
• BS degree or better from an accredited four-year college
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Experience with VMware, deploying servers from templates, creating user accounts, etc..
• Strong collaboration skills and be effective in working within a team environment. Willingness to display teamwork and share information with team members and customers.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written with all levels of the organization.
• Willing to work a flexible work schedule to include after-hours/weekends as needed
