SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division is seeking a Software Developer / Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain applications, including new applications development, modifications of existing applications, and transition of legacy applications to new technologies.  As a Software Developer / Engineer, you will design and develop database management systems, image processing, collaborative tools, data manipulation techniques, data visualization techniques, and interface with access control services.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
• Three (3) years or more of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following software development activities:
  • Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost restraints
  • Conferring with other information technology professionals (systems analysts, engineers, etc.) to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
  • Designing and developing tools for operating system platforms
  • Modifying existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance

Desired:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Computer Science
• Experience utilizing Python
• Experience utilizing Bash programming
• Experience with basic networking
