SAIC is seeking Systems Integration Engineers at various experience levels in Aurora, Colorado, Colorado Springs, Colorado and El Segundo, California to help integrate complex space and ground efforts for the next generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) programs performing the Missile Warning mission. As a systems integration engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the integration between space and ground segments as well as integration of and delivery of capabilities into the missile warning enterprise
Job Responsibilities:

Providing Systems Integration expertise as part of a world-class systems engineering and integration team

Conducting detailed planning for integration events as well as establishing and executing systems integration processes and completion criteria

Establishing integration plans for events that address all relevant concerns, including hardware, software, tools, test equipment, communications, facilities, and security

Coordinating closely with development contractors from each segment to assist in the orchestration and efficient execution of integration events and activities, to include writing and updating discrepancy reports

Leveraging model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and modeling, simulation and analysis as needed to support integration events to identify performance issues and shortfalls

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including senior executive officials, military officers, development contractors, and end users

Developing actionable briefings and assessments for internal collaboration, as well as with development contractors and Government customers
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and 5+ years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience or Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and 3+ years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience

Experience in systems integration and systems engineering

Strong understanding of requirements and requirement development as part of a fully integrated system

Strong understanding of Development / Security / Operation (DevSecOps) pipeline process

Strong understanding of C2 concept within an open architecture (OA) approach

Relevant DoD space and ground experience

Experience with systems integration throughout the acquisition lifecycle

Experience using model based system engineering concepts
Desired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
-
Masters of Science in engineering, science or related technical field
-
Active TS/SCI Clearance
-
OPIR Mission experience
-
Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
