SAIC is seeking a Navy Installation Field Technician to join and support our team in San Diego, CA.

This role does require sporadic travel 25%+ of the time

Duties and Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Motivated individuals wanted for the installation of electronic and support equipment aboard U.S. Naval, Coast Guard, and MSC Vessels.
• Will be required to work independently, as part of a team, or as a team leader to perform installation tasks demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to identify and resolve installation issues.
• Tasked with reading, interpreting, and working from technical data, test procedures, arrangement and block wiring diagrams.
• Written and verbal communication skills must be strong enough to effectively communicate with co-workers, managers and customers.
• Additional work includes redlining and/or maintaining documentation such as engineering drawings and conducting on-site installation troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience with general cable installation. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience performing installation work on U.S. Navy ships.

Required Security Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance, SAIC will assist in obtaining. Active clearances accepted.

Target salary range: $55,001 - $65,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
