SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking a highly motivated Multi-Cloud Lead Architect to join our Information Technology Cloud Enterprise (IT2CE) team. As the Multi-Cloud Lead Architect, you will create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process. You will have specialized subject matter expertise and knowledge of multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and in-depth experience with C2S and C2E cloud programs across all security enclaves. Additionally, you will maintain the architecture and monitor its performance according to business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Researching and analyzing multi-cloud architectures to identify and recommend appropriate cloud architecture design for each project, program, system, entity, instance, Information Technology (IT) asset, or data that exists in the Customer’s environment and are migrating into the multi-cloud environment with the required classification levels
Designing high-level cloud architectures and prototypes describing the multi-cloud resources required and mapping activity components into the cloud architecture (The architecture shall be described in the context of the Customer’s enterprise architecture and include cloud services, which exist or will be needed
Developing a baseline multi-cloud architecture methodology and framework for implementation within the C2E multi-cloud ecosystem
Supporting the development and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, data maps, and other architecture artifacts across the enterprise
Designing all cloud solutions in alignment with applicable policies, standards, and practices
Providing creative and innovative architectural solutions to ill-defined requirements
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with eligibility and willingness to take a CI polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in STEM domain or IT related field
20+ years of experience with software and solution architecture
5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization
5+ years of hands-on experience with C2S and air-gapped Cloud regions
Experience with two or more of the following CSPs:
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
IBM
Microsoft Azure
Oracle
Professional experience architecting large-scale distributed systems
In-depth understanding of security features and tools that C2E CSPs offer and how they relate to traditional services
Demonstrated understanding of the geospatial intelligence mission, mission systems, and their contributions to the IC and DoD

Financial background in creating Cloud cost models and performing cost trade-offs
