Description
SAIC is hiring an Integration Technician II to join our team at our office in North Charleston, SC.
The candidate will support activities such as designing, testing, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly, and installation of C4I. The candidate will assist in prototype electro mechanical systems installation procedures, experimental design circuitry, transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems; the candidate will also work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing multiple tasks using written detailed instructions.
- Installing electrical and mechanical equipment/components.
- Performing inspections for proper installation.
- Assembling communication equipment using standard hand tools
- Assembling drawings and technical manual and specific written and oral instructions
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School; or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Three (3) years of practical experience to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
- OR High School diploma/GED equivalent and five (5) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Public Trust security clearance. Active clearances accepted.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
