Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with an Aerospace Engineering background to provide support to the Space Test and Readiness Command's National Space Test and Training Complex program office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The following represents a general overview of duties and responsibilities:
- Co-Leads teams’ cross-functional and cross-discipline effort(s) to create MBSE models of systems. Aids system architect in creating architectures across disciplines to meet program objectives. Able to add detail to short, medium, and long term architectural visions, put together purchase plans, roadmaps, and sparing and obsolescent equipment replacement plans.
- Coordinate Government activities and contractor, sub-contractor, and vendor oversight efforts throughout the system life cycle
- Perform and oversee concept of test and training event planning, requirements definition and capture, analysis and engineering, system analysis and design
- Understand system interfaces and data source integration and develop network plans
- Oversee validation and verification, systems integration, system & operational performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and physical configuration analysis (PCA)
- Perform and oversee functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Systems and/or Aerospace Engineering with 9+ years of on-orbit engineering experience
- Must have a current background investigation commensurate with Top Secret security clearance and adjudicated for SCI access and consent to a counter-intelligence polygraph examination
- 5+ years’ experience in satellite operations
- Advised customer leadership on: acquisition strategies for next-generation systems; program execution issues and recommendations; strategic messaging to key operational and acquisition government, industry, and media stakeholders
- Demonstrated RPO and sensor data processing experience
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
