SAIC is seeking interested Software Engineer - Development Operations - skilled engineering candidate to develop and maintain code that implements continuous integration and continuous delivery. We are seeking a Development Operations (DevOps) Software Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer responsible for implementation of the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for our Navy customer’s software products, and the proper configuration of network infrastructure.

Description: 

• Develop and maintain code that implements continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD).
• Ensure the CI/CD infrastructure performs automated tasks such as, code analysis, code quality, code reliability assurance, compilation, testing, reporting, and packaging of our software products.
• Implement software for quality, robustness, and scale.
• Create and maintain automated deployment scripts.
• Collaborate with internal and external software teams for requirements and process improvement.
• Participate in a Scrum/Agile development process.
• Work independently or with minimal guidance when standing up or maintaining a CI/CD pipeline.
• Working at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success.

Functional Full Stack Java Developer Description:

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

• 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: 
  • DevOps experience required.
  • Linux experience required.
  • deploying software to a web server environment required.
  • CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance required
  • Java/C#; JavaScript; Agile Development; Git.

Required clearance:

• Must have a minimum Interim Secret clearance and must be able to obtain a final Secret clearance.

Desired skills:

• Jenkins, Groovy Terraform experience.
• Helm chart experience.
• deploying software in Kubernetes is a plus.
• DoD Risk Management Framework is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and FTP network protocols.

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
