Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator that will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of one or more operating systems. This may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, validating and implementing critical system patches, and allocating mass storage space. This individual will assist with schedules, plans, and help oversee system upgrades. Developing functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinating with the development team on systematic enhancements or changes. Performing a variety of assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems. Assists in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Must be local to Scott Air Force Base IL. Likely to start 100% remote, but will be required to sit on-base at any time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or 7+ years relevant experience. Knowledge of administer computer systems. Requires the ability to handle normal daily system administrator issues
• Security+ certification required
• An active Secret clearance
• RedHat Linux experience is required
• Oracle WebLogic experience is required
• Extensive Bash Scripting experience
• WSO2 and Apache Tomcat Experience is desirable
• Oracle Database knowledge
• Networking experience 
• AWS familiarity
• Will be on-call in a rotation of 1 week every month
• Will have to participate in after hour “maintenance” rotating with another SA every week
