Job Description

Description

SAIC’s Business Enablement represents the full depth and breadth of the acquisition value chain – from the sell side (customer engagement and strategy development) to the buy side (program execution, strategic alliances, supply chain management and subcontractor development).  We are the full acquisition organization that supports our external and internal customer mission. Our dynamic team of acquisition professionals support key business areas such as Digital Transformation, Engineering & Integration, and Enterprise IT. Core business includes Engineering Services, IT & Technical Services and Logistics & Supply Chain.

SAIC’s Business Enablement organization is seeking a Pricing Sr Principal to support high-priority proposal activities spanning our diverse range of government and commercial customers. The Sr Principal Analyst will work independently supporting the largest and most complex proposals in the enterprise throughout the full proposal lifecycle: pre-RFP analysis and comment/question preparation, strategy development, RFP analysis, estimating and pricing model development, business case analysis, executive reviews, proposal finalization, and post-submit activities.

Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, collaborative, critical thinking, and problem solving experience. Candidates must also work well under pressure, given the complexity of engagements and proposal deadlines.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively engage with Business Unit and Sector leadership to cultivate effective cost and price strategies for platform, vehicle, and other Systems Integration & Delivery (SID) proposals
  • Support the development and integration of emerging business model strategies (which may include SID as described above, Commercial Items, XaaS, Managed Services, or OTAs)
  • Independently assess DRFP/RFP documentation, identifying the appropriate cost/price strategies and associated tactical approaches
  • Collaborate with estimators to assemble labor and/or material costs, projecting the impact of pricing changes on revenue/profit, including multiple-outcome business case analysis
  • Serve as a thought leader within the department, and may engage on special projects, training, and other related support functions
  • Mentor and train junior staff
  • Coordinate with Pricing Management to prioritize concurrent proposal activities
  • Perform compliance, strategic and risk-based reviews of other proposals as needed
