Join a winning team!  SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently hiring for a customer within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. SAIC is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer with NRO experience to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. 

NOTE:  Flexible work schedule options such as 9/80 or 8/80 may be available but dependent upon customer demands.

The Systems Integration Engineer supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions that advance the NRO’s space resiliency posture. 

The Systems Integration Engineer will join a team of on-site SETAs with responsibilities that may include but are not limited to the following:  

• Support systems engineering, system integration, test & evaluation and transition activities
• Perform analysis and evaluations of systems under test, produce/review test reports, and track test metrics
• Support the establishment of standards, practices, and procedures for enterprise capabilities; coordinate with stakeholders.   (Note: I still don’t know what this really means)
• Assess relevant current and future technologies for insertion
• Capture and document lessons learned and best practices
• Evaluate enterprise verification and validation testing
• Review and analyze discrepancy reports.
• Assess labor, schedules, and resources required for integrating, testing, validating and transitioning systems.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings between developers and the COTR

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in systems / aeronautical / mechanical / test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. 
• Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills. 
• Strong written and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment. 
• Experience with business processes, management principles, and systems engineering and integration for IC programs (~$50M or greater).
