Description

SAIC is seeking an Azure Engineer to join the SAIC DOI Team. This candidate will be part of a team responsible for the hands on support and management and deployment of Azure environments. They will participate in the preparation and automated deployment of Run Time Linux and windows operating system Images, e.g. hardening and customization.  Manage and support of dedicated and shared storage configurations including mounting/routing, security, backup and recovery; and implementation of Azure Availability Zones

Daily activities may include:

• Design, sustain, maintain, Azure environments and topologies, all aspects
• Migrate and deploy various customer workloads to Azure
• Deploy Hybrid Azure AD environments
• Azure security and monitoring solutions implementation, including automated responses
• Tools and Automation (scripting – Bicep, ARM templates, TFS/DevOps)
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, software systems
• Proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies
• Project and design documentation
• Process and support documentation
• Update Knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

Required:

• BS and 5 years of related experience 
• Able to obtain and maintain a DOI Public Trust 
• Experience with Azure compute services including multi AZ Clusters
• Experience with Azure Storage Services ANF, Dedicate Disk, NFS, CIFS, Mount points
• Azure- Data backup recovery, Disaster Recovery, & Patch Management 
• Jump Stations and Remote Desktop Services

Desired:

• Azure Platform Security Services
• Experience working with ARM templates- PowerShell and Ansible to deploy infrastructure
• Experience working on issues tracking tool- Ivanti
• Azure Web Application Firewalls
• Application Routing, Load Balancing and Firewalls
• Azure Site Recovery

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
