SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program, located in Chantilly, VA, is leveraging best practices in system engineering, Digital Engineering, MBSE, Agile software development, and DevSecOps processes and technology. This multi-year contract will require energetic engineers to define and integrate major space systems and associated ground elements from concept into an operational enterprise.

SAIC is seeking a highly motivated mid-level candidate to drive DevSecOps best practices within a large team. The ideal candidate will have experience with containerization and container management and knowledge of current cloud computing environments, architectures, and migration efforts; experience participating in SAFe Agile ceremonies and technical reviews, ensuring application development and design follow secure coding, best practices, and design principles.

You will:

• Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
• Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and development.
• Use Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
• Provide guidance and apply Agile and DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable system operations.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

• Active TS/SCI clearance minimum
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least four (4) years of software build and scripting experience. Four (4) additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, MS Azure, and Artifactory.
• Experience with applying Agile methodologies, and the ability to review, analyze, create, and enhance configuration and programming systems
• Experience with DevSecOps processes, continuous integration, container applications, and cloud deployment architectures
• Experience using  Docker and  container management with Kubernetes and Helm
• Strong ability to identify and solve problems across many different systems, applications, and operating systems.
