SAIC is seeking a Field Service Engineer III to join a dynamic team of professionals supporting ACF-OHSEPR. The ideal Field Service Engineer will be a self-starter and comfortable working as the sole IT professional on a “boots on the ground” support team while traveling and staying local.

The ideal candidate will reside within the Washington Metropolitan Area. The Field Service Engineer will be required to work at the government facility as directed by the client and maintain a stable home office to provide support when not traveling. This role requires 40% travel!

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-today desk side IT requests, associated ACF-OHSEPR trouble tickets and all other related requests from the supported customers.
  • Provide support in a manner consistent with the current NGITS Operations Task Order
  • Perform asset inventories by identifying and labeling IT equipment according to documented standards and update inventory control systems as required.
  • Perform routine IT system administration, including health checks and supporting incident resolution
  • Apply documented procedures in support of end-users
  • Manage inventory, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a timely and effective manner consistent with service levels, customer expectations and the existing NGITS Operations Task Order.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • 4 years + of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in related field. 4+ years of experience can be substituted in lieu of experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance per HHS regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Have the ability to travel up to 40% of the time; with the potential of very short notice.
  • Knowledgeable in ServiceNow, PXE Boot, SCCM, Active Directory, Bomgar, Prisma, M365 Suite.
  • Independent worker and self-starter
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team environment in a fast-paced support role.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, be dependable, outgoing and positive with excellent problem- solving skills
